Paranormal is a general term (coined ca. 1915–1920 that designates experiences that lie outside "the range of normal experience or scientific explanation" or that indicates phenomena that are understood to be outside of science's current ability to explain or measure. Paranormal phenomena are distinct from certain hypothetical entities, such as dark matter and dark energy, insofar as paranormal phenomena are inconsistent with the world as already understood through empirical observation coupled with scientific methodology.

Minnesota Paranormal Investigators take on an unusually haunted house in Edina, MN, in this May 2011, video case round-up.
Among the many ghosts said to haunt this private home is the spirit of the late actor Dean Martin, who stayed here during the filming of the movie "Airport" (1970). The home is built on an Indian burial ground and they say it is currently haunted.

The decision to cancel the HBO series “John from Cincinnati” after one ten-episode season seems to raise a few questions worth kicking around.
Were fans of the HBO shows “The Sopranos” and “Deadwood” so disappointed those programs ended that they took it out on “John?” Looks like that was part of it.

There seem to be many good reasons to check out the new HBO series "John from Cincinnati."
Some of these reasons were revealed when the show premiered last Sunday, June 10. That episode introduced viewers to the Yosts, a family of surfers and residents of Imperial Beach in far southern San Diego County.

Paranormal Activity is an independent horror film written and directed by Oren Peli. The first glimpse of the movie was at the Screamfest Film Festival in October 2007. The movie was also shown in 2008 at the Slamdance Film Festival in Utah. It wasn't until this year that the movie had a release in several U.S cities on October 9th 2009, the movie went on to have a nationwide release on October 16th.
